Mr. Basu assumed the role of Managing Partner in December 2015. Prior to co-founding the Investment Advisor, Mr. Basu was a Director with CVCI, where he had over eight years of investing experience. During his tenure with CVCI, Mr. Basu provided advisory services to invest, manage and exit a large number of companies across a wide spectrum of industries including, among others, IT enabled services, financial services, auto, metals and mining, infrastructure, pharmaceutical and specialty chemicals, oil and gas services, media and textiles. Prior to CVCI, Mr. Basu had several years of corporate and investment banking experience with Citi. Mr. Basu has served on the boards of the following Fund 1 portfolio companies — Convexity, Matrix, Sutures, SIS, TSI, Minacs and Ujjivan. Mr. Basu has previously also served on the board of several CVCI portfolio companies as a director or an observer. These include Daksh, Progeon, HT Media, Jai Balaji, SVIL Mines and Globe Capital, among others. Mr. Basu earned an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad and a B.A. degree in Economics from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi University.
