Vivek is a Senior Partner and Global co-leader of McKinsey’s Private Equity & Principal Investors Practice. Vivek serves the world’s leading investors and shareholders on strategy, origination, transformations, organization, sustainability and exits. Vivek works with leading family-owned businesses, services firms, pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, social impact & sustainability funds, and private equity funds. Vivek joined McKinsey in New York, where he was elected a Partner of the Firm in 2005, and has worked across offices in North America, Europe, Japan and India.

Vivek serves as a Trustee of the Aspen Institute, an Advisor to Social Finance India (Social Impact Bonds) and Nishith Desai Associates, and served on a select non-profit education and healthcare boards including St. Judes and The Doon School. He holds degrees from Stanford University and the University of California. He currently resides in Mumbai with his spouse (Founder of The Music Circle, Co-founder of Project Rangeet) and three children.
